Shakti - The Power is a high voltage drama starring Karisma Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Sanjay Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan (in special appearance) and Aishwarya Rai in a guest appearance. Shakti is the first ever production of Sridevi. Earlier she was supposed to do the role, then Kajol came into picture but finally the role went to Karisma Kapoor. Sanjay Kapoor plays her husband who is the son of a feudal lord played by Nana Patekar. Shahrukh Khan acts in a cameo role who helps her fight her war against all odds. Ismail Darbar is the composer whereas Mehboob writes. Krishna Vamsi is the director of Shakti.
